THANKS ALL!!! One Last Question... was created by davidnard
Hi All,
And Update to my bike problems...
Thank you all so much! I got my seals and the new shift pin plate in, and everything is back to normal. My bike can actually get back into neutral, and everything seems to be working just fine. I haven't actually taken the bike back out yet though, since I have a question on the whole clutch assembly.
I'm 100% sure that I placed all the clutch gears back on in the same order they were originally in. The *only* thing I am wondering however, is if I put the WHOLE disc assembly in backwards. I took all the fiber and steel discs off as one piece and put them right into some new oil to soak. However, I'm not quite sure when I put those back on that I didn't put the last one first, or correctly.
Is there a quick way to check this? Without having to put the cover back on, fill er back up with oil and take it for a test drive? I figured I'd ask before I did something stupid.
Although forgetting which end is front I guess could constitue stupid.
Thanks again in advance,
-Dave
