fun to read how they got some of the 903 and 1015 to meet the AMA cc and still make wicked power
sure most would not make a fun grocery grabber, but a couple of the simple tricks everyone used...

What do you want the motor to do,how will it be ridden?
will this be a daily rider pump gas motor or something that gets ridden on short trips and gets parked a lot?

That option definitely won't have the grunt below 5000 rpm, but they scream all the way to 16,000.
16,000 - that's approaching router speed!

Ducati is hinting that their new super bike called the "Superquadrata" will be able to spin up to 14000rpm. That's with a 1200cc motor. Yeeooow! 112mm bore and 60.6mm stroke!!!! Talk about being oversquare. I can only hope they make it work.

Best thing about Ducati is Desmo, don't have to waste all that energy compressing springs to make your valves work. Getting Desmo to work at 14000RPM shouldn't be hard, after all it's just 7000 on the valvetrain.

depending on the chassis you might feel cramped, however, modern 600's put out about 120-130hp, so the power to weight ratio (using that outdated chassis) would be in the 600's favor. haha

I am 6'5" as well and feel cramped on fjr's, zx14, connie 14. I sat on the new ninja 1000 yesterday and my knees wouldn't fit into the tank knee pockets, so the side of my knees were against the sharp edges on the top of the tank, and I couldn't bend my ankle enough to upshift. I sat on a buddies zx6 and I couldn't ride it if I wanted to...new bikes are tiny. I have heard that the old pre-j kz's have bigger dimensions and suit big dudes best...Just for gits and shiggles you should sit on a klr at the dealer...you will fit on it just perfect
