I finally got around to checking my compression. With WOT I've got in order of 1-4 175-165-160-175. These are well within the specs of 160-190 psi standard with 120 minimum. I put a little oil in each one to see what happened and here are the results 180-175-180-180. Should I bother with rebuilding this winter or wait another season? I have a little oil leak around the head gasket also but only enough to get on the motor without noticing a drop in fluid level. Also pulled the oil pan and it looked very clean inside. There was only a little sludge under the transmission.

Another season (or 3-4) at least.
Your compression is perfectly fine, absolutely no cause for concern, I bet there are several persons on here that wish their compression readings were that high

The bike has just over 71,000 miles on it. I wonder if it has been rebuilt. Only problem is the cam chain and the gaskets. I can just drop the cylinders back in just like they are if I replace the gaskets right?

I'd say it's either been rebuilt or well taken care of.
Yep, you can remove and replace the gaskets without doing anything to the pistons/cylinders.

shit man I'd love another 50-60psi of compression... I'd take 170 any day.
