I need the torque setting on a 76 kz900 flywheel/rotor bolt. I have the specs for a kz 750 but id imagine the 900's are different.

Thanks

Yes.
FSM for Z1~KZ900
Dynamo rotor to crankshaft 18 ft-lbs
with KAWASAKI LIQUID LOCK-K (whatever that is)

FSM for 1977~79 KZ1000:
1977 16.5~19.5 ft-lbs with Locking Agent
1978 51~54 ft-lbs (no locking agent)
1979 94 ft-lbs (no locking agent)

Perhaps "Otto the Chemist" :cheer: will shed some light on which formula Loctite or other product is most comparable to KAWASAKI LIQUID LOCK-K.

Good Fortune! :)

surprising it could be that low. On my 750 twin it was something like 80 ft-lbs or more which is just about as tight as I could crank it.

I use loctite all the time at work. I would use the green its for slip fit sleeves and such. Still good with heat resist . I have used all the colors, red which is for threads but green is the best hold. Just from my exp.

Yeah, red is the more permanent of the three, blue can be removed and green is for penetrating existing fasteners.
