Specter 1100 oil cooler mod

I am wondering if anyone has successfully installed an oil cooler on a kawasaki specter (spectre) 1100. I am interested in porting locations. If you could post any pics it would be appreciated.

Does anyone know where to port an oil cooler through a kawasaki 1100 engine? I know there is a return port to the rear of the 4th cylinder, but I don't know where to port from the engine into the cooler. thanks for any replies

The 1981,1982 GPz's have a factory oil cooler & I believe the ELR's did too. If you can locate a wrecked one, installing the oil cooler should be easy.

ive dealt with a guy in washington state that did have a cooler for sale from a 1982 gpz 750. ive bought a few things from him and hes a great guy to deal with. if you want his email addy let me know in an IM

The 1100s have an inlet/outlet fixture in the rear center of the engine.Get that part and u can run and outlet/inlet line from the same place.Thats what I did for my 82 CSr and ran the lines under the tank so u cant even see em.U can retain ur oil pressure lite this way as well.bj
