Do you have electronic ignition or points, Resistor plugs are only of any use with electronic ign, the resistor is simply a piece of carbon in the electrode and they work better with the more powerful spark of electronic ignition.

If I remember right the switch from points to electronic ignition happened in 1979.
My '78 650 was points, my '80 750 was electronic.
IMO less resistance = more spark, even with electronic ignition. I'm not worried about the interference.

currently 1982 LTD1000 UNI dual throat pods, MAC header Supertrapp muffler. Shoei fairing.
The good old days: 1977 KH 400 triple, 1978 KZ650B all the basic mods, My avatar a 1980 LTD 750, ditto on the mods
