I have been trying all morning to get the engine out of my 76 900 LTD. I want to paint the frame.
Its all bolted off--
I have tried to tip the bike on its side and slide the frame off--but it still wont quite fit. Do I have to pull the top of the engine off?
:woohoo:

you can get it out whole. it has to go out the right side of the frame. i put mine back in by laying it on the side a few months ago.

The drain pug and filter need to be removed because it will get hung up on the frame. If you remove the valve cover it makes it real easier.
