The gaskets are available from any Kawasaki dealer. I bet Z1 Enterprises sell them separately as well.

The regular black stuff works fine.

In that picture, I need gasket #4. I'll stop by the local Kawasaki dealer to get it then.

You may find that gasket is no longer available. If so, here are a couple on eBay with thye pre-supersession part number:

I have been traveling for work, so I just got a chance to work on the bike again. The springs and guide tubes for the starter clutch were all broken. One of those broken guide tubes is stuck inside its hole in the surrounding assembly, and I can't get it out. There isn't enough room to get it with a tap or drill bit.

Any ideas on how to remove it?

You can drill them out carefully. The repair is not difficult as long as the boss on the starter sprocket is not too worn.

Have you tried to bump start it?

Bill

If you can access the head of the bolt easily you can use a cutoff wheel to make a slot across the top of the head and go after it with a impact driver like this( www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_009476...ockNo=2&blockType=G2 ) I've had very good luck with this operation.
