I don't know. It's still on there since last August. It got soaked with oil for a bit (gen grommet) I just used Greased Lightning to clean it off.

I'll whore my bike once more. lol

Thanks! I think I only used 1/2 a can or so on that. Who cares, if I scratch it I can touch it up or repaint the whole thing for five bucks.

Hey, JR... sidenote, when you went to a MAC 4-1 on your 750, did you rejet or get by with just an adjustment of the air/fuel mix screw?

Hey apbling, when I bought the bike 8 years ago it had the black Mac 4->1 exhaust and pods. I think the primary was 62 and the secondary at 135. Since then I've been all over the place with jets. I upped the primary and secondaries to 70 and 140 and then last year I took the pods off put an airbox on and jetted down to 62 and 130. The air mix screws are I think at 3 turns out,. Not totally sure. Short answer is up to 130 from 125 on the secondary main jet for the Mac 4-> 1 and thats it. I must say that do like this jetting and the stock airbox. The other thing I did that made a huge impact was finally stop eyeballing the float bowl fuel level and actually measure it and set the floats to get levels spot on. Hope this helps

PS I like the sound of the Mac. A nice growl.

I woulda did the MAC, but I don't want to go with the black headers/chrome can and I don't want to part with the cash either. I ordered some EMGO Dunstall replacements. They have a removable baffle w/ fiberglass, so I hope I can find the sweet spot between noise and performance. As for the 4-1's, I think they give the bike a racier sound, which I don't want for an LTD. A gpz or standard, heck ya, but not the LTD.

Where did you get your secondaries from? I thought there was little to no source for these?

Surprised you didn't have to rejet the pilot (or it's proper name, slow jet).

so its all stock except your sec main is a 130 from a 125... I'm gonna give z1 a jingle and see what they got for the sec mains. I'm putting those dunstall mufflers on... might be more free flowing and I'm worried it's gonna mess with stuff.

WG's forum says to up 140/70 like you mentioned above, but thats w/ pods and exhaust. I'm getting hopefully just a slightly more freeflowing exhaust and stock box...

How would I tell if its lean besides plugs? Hanging idle? Hard starting? crappy low end? Starving at WOT? I wish my colortune worked a little better...

Never had to look for a bigger pilot. Just as well as I dont think they are available anywhere.

I may have had primary and secondary ass backwards in earlier post. Just go to Z1E website and type Keihin in the search box top right.

If you are going to another 4 into 2 I think there's a good chance you might be ok without jetting. Worth a try. Somewhere in the changes I made over the past few years I thought I was lean at one time more because of spitting back through the carbs than from plug colour so I backed out the mixture screws a half turn and then another half turn and that was it.

Good luck

Hey JR,
Got them on and they sound great! I let it warm up and went for a spin... seemed to cough a little bit just a litle past off the line. I am not sure if it's because it was 35 deg out and it wasn't 110% warmed up or lean. I did back the pilots screws out 1/2 turn to see how it did and it was better...but it may have warmed up a bit while I was tinkering with them... At any rate I'll have to wait until it warms up a bit to get a good feeling how it's doing.
