Shift Shaft seal
13 Apr 2011 22:37
Searched here and at Z1 but nothing- looking for cross reference of models that use the seal in Z1/KZ countersprocket covers. Part number I have is 92049-004 but it may be useful to know other models. The kids at the parts counter at the Kawi dealer are abouit half the age of my bikes.

I got mine at the local bearing/seal supplier. Forget where I wrote it down, its in one of my log books, and I forget where my bike log book is. I can have a look but I wont be out where all my stuff is till Saturday.

When replacing the output shaft seal(where the engine sprocket goes) wrap some masking tape around the splines to prevent tearing the seal. Never install seals dry, usually a thin film of engine oil is about all you'll need for lubrication.
