whats size pods do i need

hello, i am wondering what size diameter pods i need for my stock 1980 kz550. if you can please help, thanks.
1980 kz550 38,500 miles basket case ( soon to be a BOBBER )

1983 kz550 9,600 miles

1988 jeep grand wagoneer 144,500 miles 4 mpg

I think you need the 39mm ones, measure your carb inlets they should be about an inch and a half. good luck.

If you're going from an airbox to pods you will need more than just pods. Ed

Wow, you were subtle this time... :woohoo:

Though he's totally right. If you replace your airbox with pod filters, they flow alot more air. You will need to rejet your carbs, else you will lose power. Alot of power, and they will make for a not so nice bottom end performance with some more mods.

thanks for the info, i already have 1 kz with the pods and so far i am happy. i just didnt feel like taking the pod off to measure the carb size ( call me lazy :) ). but i have experience with pods. but thanks for telling me though.

yes, the carbs are 1 1/2 inches. like i said before thanks for telling me about the pods, cause if i didnt have previous experience with pods i probably wouldnt have bought them.
