For finishing work I also recommend S100 finish restorer paste or X-treem polish wading. Both of these leave a very fine finished shine.

How do you get in between the fins and into the other hard to reach places? This Nuvite polish looks fantastic.

Get a piece of clean rope with a diameter which offers just a little resistance to being "sawed" back and forth between the fins then soak in polish of choice.

sand paper rapped around a paint stick works between fins on head, sand paper around a pencil works good between cylinder fins.
files and a block sander work good on fins and flat areas B)

You can put a soda blaster together for under $10 and buy 3 large boxes of baking soda for $3 each. I wish I had my soda blaster when I put my 900 together, but I use it constantly on my other projects. I originally did my 900 by hand, the other week I sealed up the intake, took it outside and blasted away. Obviously had to wash all the soda off after, but it came out pretty good!

My homemade blaster. The hose goes in the box of soda, then attach the gun to my air compressor.

I like Mothers Aluminum Polish then touch up with Never-Dull wadding. If you want it to keep that shine with no elbow grease or time the solution is to seal the bike in Transparent Aluminum. See Scotty for formula. But I warn ya he's given oot all he's got... He kinna give oot na more!

here is what a bike in Transparent Aluminum might look like
Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

I can't quite tell. How does the air pull or feed the soda. Is that just a regular blow tip?

I use my bike for daily commutes and keeping it clean is literrally impossible nonsense.

Just clean it real good and Gun-Kote it. Then cleanup is just a garden hose, a gentle scrub brush, and a quick ride/dry away :P

I dont have the time to polish/wax/elbow grease the shit out of her every week - TOO MANY OTHER TOYS!

Peace.

Just found that Gun-Kote stuff. Does it really work that well? I assume you used the brushed stainless or do they have a clear, too?
