KZ 750-4 Dyna S Ignition Timing was created by kzcafe750_24
Hey Guys,
Just need a quick run down on how to statically time my bike with the dyna S ignition? I got 1-4 timed right on, I believe, my test light comes on right as the case marker points to the "F", but as far as 2-3 go, there is not any "F" mark on the advancer for 2-3, so how do I time them, without that mark?? Or am I just missing something, thinking to hard to try and figure it out. Also I just got done degreeing in my cams in and I left my degree wheel on for the timing procedure, when 1-4 fire at the "F" mark it sits at 10* BTDC and 2-3 are at 8* BTDC, does that sound right? Any help would be greaT!!

Thanks,
Dylon

hello, the only thing I can really help with now is you want the cylinders to fire btdc not at tdc, but you want them all to be set the same. I don't have a 750 but thought they should have a timing mark for 2-3 also. and I believe you want your advancer to be fully advanced while setting all this up. wish I could help more, and hope I'm not leading you astray!

Thank You for giving your input,
Ya their firing BTDC, and 2-3 have one mark and that's for TDC. Just wondering if anybody knows how many degree Before Top Dead Center they should be set too. Is 10* BTDC the right amount? I would think that having the degree wheel on would make it alot easier to time in.
Thanks,
Dylon

sorry man I just don't know 100%, but if 1-4 are set correctly by the marks and that puts them at 10* BTDC can you just set 2-3 at 10* BTDC and be good?

Ya I'm going to do that, and I'll check it with a timing light when I get it fired up.
Thanks,
