See those funky looking spots between 3 & 4 chambers on the deck. That must have been from the factory welding up defects in the casting. Fresh resurface, clearly looks like two different types of aluminum.

As Nads receives the box containing he GS1000 head he sent me to port, the self induced hysteria begins to subside...

Tears fill his eyes as he stands there loading up his 3rd Depends of he morning. Reaching into the goodie bag for another dose of euphoria he notices KT has been busy preparing the head swap

The kid rips the box from the stoned giant's hands, looks him straight in the eye and points to the bike sitting half gutted in the corner...

KT smiles , then laughs out loud :laugh:

Nads stumbles, falls back against the wall and slides slowly down to the floor. KT tosses him a lighter, takes the box, turns and heads back to the bike....

Nad fires up another dose of euphoria and flashes back to 1969 with this song in his head as he watches KT perform magic with the wrenches...

Why did I get dragged into this thread? I don't even like 1000's of any kind (other than the new z1000's and new zx10's).

That head is a 79. Being that model year it's superior to what Kawasaki had available in 79. Stock vs Stock.
