\"ART\" pistons?

anyone ever heard of these?.. are they stock(for my 73 z1)?..
i just pull a set off my z1 900 they look new..also i looked up a head gasket for my bike and it says that they had a 2 piece and my bike had a 1 piece. there is also writing in black marker on my crank

Roll', yes, ART are the correct make of pistons for the Z1.
If your engine is designed for a two-piece head gasket, there will be a milled groove to take a rubber seal around the chain cavity.

I thought the early Z1 engines used a one piece gasket as they didn't have the oil sealing rubber gasket around the cam chain tower. There is a groove the shape of a casket around the cam chain tower if you need to use one of those seal; otherwise a one piece gasket works. And as Garn noted, the ART pistons are OEM...
