Thanks Steell, that's what i found before posting too....
the first one is two stroke related,
Then went through those links too, not much info either.
Only the FAQ has got a very generic 0.004 for "small blocks", (guess they are talking about chevy's....)
So not very specific info and quite a large clearance compared to the 0.002 i usually go for in cast pistons. my tuner friend recommended 0.003 to allow for the forged blanks.
How does that sound? Anybody installed an 810 kit lately or other wiseco slugs?
"The factors that affect this are cylinder wall thickness, whether the block is filled, the overall compression height of the piston, piston material and thickness, and whether a marine engine is to see fresh-water cooling. Most small blocks get .004 piston to wall clearance and most big blocks get .005 due to the use of our 2618 high-strength alloy."

.0015 / .0020"
Be sure the shop knows how to put the correct finish on the hone. Hope it is not an automotive shop.

thanks jay
that's pretty much what i use for cast pistons too, so you say not care too much about these being forgings (or are they? )
Cheers

Yes. It is a high silicon forging, so it can run that tight with no problem.
