Swapping Chain drive to shaft

Good Day folks.

Here is a question please...

I have KZ1100 SHAFT 1981. I need to swop the engine around...I also have a gpz 1100 chain drive....

So can one swop the clutch mounting from the gpz1100 to make it to a shaft drive instead of chain....My frame is shaft so want to keep it like that.....Thanks

Why do you need to swap engines around?

i have a melted piston in my barrel, the conrod is buggered, the barrel is broken, i can get a GPZ1100 for nothing, same year, same engine, just different on chain drive......

I think you'll have to split the cases to change the transmission shafts.

Do you know of the differences between the KZ and GPZ engines?

If you lived in the us I would swap my shaft drive for your chain drive.
