Kz750 Adjustable Cam Sprockets? was created by DoubleDub
Is there a source for adjustable cam sprockets for the Kz750 engines with the Hyvo chain? I haven't had any luck searching.

Would I be required to convert to the standard chain timing components/crank to get this?

I am not aware of any company offering adjustable cam sprockets for the KZ650/750.

Lots of time and a dremel tool can be used to oval the stock sprocket holes in order to adjust the cam timing.

Perhaps someone else will chime in...

Thanks, that was the conclusion I had come to as well, but wondered if anyone knew of a company that made or would make them.

Anyone else?

Your going to be better off finding a machinest to do somthing like this to your sprokets.

Very nice - what did they run you? Or did you do them yourself?

Don't recall the cost. Should be a simple job for a properly equipped machinist. Way cheaper than having a one off sprocket created. APE has them for the big bores cause of the drag bike market.

We had a conversation about this a while back and APEjay piped in on it if I recall. Let me see if I can find it.

Would just need the 360 turntable for the mill and I could pull this off these days in house. Could probably barrow one in a pinch.

How many extra bolt holes are on you cam sprockets?

Are they all in the same position?

Like the cheap crank sprockets on auto V-8s you can advance or retard your cams at about 5* or more.

Each tooth equals about 15.5 degrees.

Line up your different bolt holes with the stock settings and see where the cam tooth lines up.

Hmm...not sure I follow. I'll take a look at the sprockets I have again. I haven't degree'd yet, just expecting to need to when I reassemble.
