I have a 1983 Kawasaki 440 that I'm bobbing out and rebuilding for my girlfriend and I have the original motor but the owner before me did the unthinkable thing and powdercoated the whole motor. Well it needs a complete rebuild because I'm not really sure what its missing and needs so I was gonna take it to the closes kawasaki dealership and see if theyd do a rebuild for me. Then I gotto thinking has anyone here tried putting a V-Twin motor in this frame? My girlfriend is a small girl and I was wanting something like a Vulcan 500 or if there is something out there in the 400 range... Anyone have any experience in this? I'm not a welder so I am trying to keep the frame mods to a minimum cause I'm having to take my bike back and forth from the welding shop.
P.S. Is there any modern motor except the 250 motors that are single head motors?
