Moving the collector closer to the engine. Does the pressure wave arrive at the port at a higher rpm? :woohoo: high rpm high rpm high rpm is not complete cannot delete high rpm cannot compete higher higher, faster faster, go, go, go...

Check out 2-stroke pipe tuning for a better understanding, as most of the concepts apply to 4-stroke as well. Theres lots of 2 banger exhaust tuning info out there as it is much more critical for those engines.

It all depends. If you shorten it an inch or two then the power band may move up in the RPM range. Its a maybe because eventually as you go to shorter and shorter the peak horsepower will go back down. Think of it as a sine wave. you can end the pipe at the top of the sine wave or at the bottom. But as you shorten the pipe you will eventually run in to the next wave.
