Highly recommend it! My plates and springs were worn, so I got this, I accelerate much faster now! And it's not as stiff as I thought it would be!
However after the install : My front wheel shudders and begins losing control after about 5 seconds of riding without my hands on it? Could be my front tire is worn, or maybe the clutch is slowing the bike down too much?

I doubt its your clutch. Look at front tire pressure, wear and bearings.

When your in gear, and take your hand off the clutch while moving the engine speed catches up with the rear wheel. When your in 5th gear and doing 30mph theres not enough engine load to give you that presumable jerk that lets you pop wheelies at 9k rpm when you drop the clutch, it just cruises forward but slows the bike down a bit putting stress on the front tire because weight is shifting forward. But I doubt it's that.

To answer the no handed question. It just gets cold! That and the ladies love to see you standing atop a bike at 80mph waving to them with both hands
