I am sure there are many of you owners, who have a 4 into 1 pipe on your Kaw. I have heard good & bad about Vance & Hines, and Kerker. I do not know anything abot Mac pipes. I would like to put a center stand on my 900 LTD, just for general maintenance, I know they did not come with them, but I don't have a lift for the bike. So, I would need to purchase a pipe, that would clear the center stand, drain plug, etc.. I like the sound of the exhaust, when a baffle is not being used, but I don't know if it is better to reun a straight pipe or a baffle. The last bike, that I owned was a 750 triple, with chambers. I would like some feedback on this item. Thanks

I love the MAC pipes. The only drawback is the poor quality of their black finish. I however love the street performance and the relatively quiet yet throaty sound.

i have a mac pipe too and i like mine also, another nice thing about the mac pipe is the baffle is all steel so there is no packing to ever need replaced, the mac baffle is a pretty nice piece.

It only takes a few min to put a center stand on if you ride without it.

I would rather bend up some flex pipe and add a tin can collector and megaphone than put a Mac on my bike. Sorry, no matter what kind of sound or performance they have, Mac pipes are of inferior quality than the other brands you mention.

My choice for street use: Kerker. WAAY more low to mid torque than the Vance & Hines (Wiseco) which is more of a mid/high pipe.

I would say there are a lot of variables in choosing a pipe.looks, performance, ground clearance, sound blah, blah blah.I have a kerekr on mine mainly because it came with it.I do like the way it looks and how it tucks under the motor allowing oil and fliter changes without removal.also routing looks like it will give good clearance on corners.oh yea how much do you want to spens will also be a BIGGY.

I appreciate all of the input on the 4 into 1 headers, I assumed that I would get more response from owners who use Vance & Hines & Kerker products. Like I said, I never heard of Mac before, and have never heard the sound of one. The old school Kerker, has a definate sound, especially without a baffle! I guess itall boils down to the individual and what kind of money they want to spend. Does anybody know where you can purchase new baffles for the Jardine exhaust, on the LTD's?

Have a V and H Sidewinder with baffle on mine.Clearance for oil and filter change.Do have to do a little work on rear brake pedal for clearance, but no big deal.Fit and finish is excellent.bj

Agree with the Mac perspective but I've had different results with Kerker vs V&H. Macs were much cheaper and it showed in fit, finish and performance.

I personally think the V&H gives my bike great bottom end. It's a street version with a tad bit of extension after the collector.

The best fitting pipes were always the Kerkers. Can't say if the quality is still there these days but they sure used to be top quality.

Murray Pipes ROCK but finding one isn't easy.
