Less weight, look better, fewer components to malfunction.

Anodizing actually puts a hard skin on the aluminum. Without it they will be very easily scratched or dinged. Also anodized aluminum can be dyed almost any color and then sealed against UV for fade resistance.

That is why I will be using Gun-Kote on them. All my engine sidecovers, brake components and carburetor parts are Gun-Koted and have been for years. I actually came up with a Gun-Kote process that looks like Black Chrome. I will either make them "Gold" "Titanium" or "Black". The "Gold" and "Brass" on the brake components is Gun-Kote. It has been designed for Military Firearm use. Hence the name.
