KZ1100A Shaft 4-1 Exhaust-ANY AVAILABLE?

B)This is a request for information.I just finished putting a slightly beefed up KZ1100A motor back into my frame.My buddy who builds muscle cars owed me an engine for a couple of years and I finally got it.Ported and flowed,reground cams [for duration],fresh pistons and hard chrome ring sets,Stage 3 jet kit,K&N Pod filters.So it's not too extreme,but I think it will be a good one.I need a 4-1 exhaust system for it,and cannot find anything anywhere for it.Black or Chrome would be OK-I just want something I can use.Don't want a straight pipe either(too loud for me).I am using the bike on the street.Something with packing or a baffle to tone it a little.I was thinking of something that will make the motor have a popping sound to it.I had what I believe was a MAC baffle with a can that said WINNING on it,and I had successfully installed a KERKER plug end in it,and it was loud but not obnoxious,and it had a nice "pop" to it.I can't get the header to stay on it though.I think the ring edges on the ends of the 4 pipe inlets rusted out,because when I tighten the collars with the split-keepers down,and then try to hook up the can to iy,it just pulls the header right out of the exhaust port on the head.If any one knows what is out there/available/from whom/price/etc.,I would appreciate the knowledge.My dealer has a MAC,but he says it will only work on a 1983 KZ1100L LTD(I know these bikes used the same #2+#3 pipes as the KZ1100A series,but the mufflers were different,so I am not sure if this would work,and neither are they!THNAKS y'all!!!

I forgot to add this bike is a 1981 KZ1100A Shaft bike!

Vance and Hines Sidewinder should work.bj

any kz-z1 header will work the only changes are the passenger peg locations/mount tab...but a small hnger or bracket fixes that...exhaust ports and bends are the same

Kerker(Supertrapp) makes two systems that should fit:
#127-61001 and #127-61004.

:woohoo: Fellas-THANKS A MILLION for all this good useful info!I am going to do some online searching for this stuff.Also,I stopped to see my buddy when he was getting out of work at the bikeshop,and he says he might know two people with two different set-ups I can use: 1)A Vance + Hines,only thing it's a drag set-up,so it might be an open pipe,and 2)Maybe an old D+D Distributers set-up,which would prolly be cool too-I don't remember them on this bike,or I should say I never heard one of them on a KZ1000 that I remember.The Kerkers yeah and the V+H yeah.Does any one remember that set-up?Anywy-thanks again y'all!!!

i have seen some black kerkers going for very reasonable prices on e-bay in the last two weeks

i got one in mint shape for 237 incl ship

and have seen nice ones go 150-320

MAC also makes four diferent systems that will work on that bike.
