Yes, KZ 4 cylinder. one camshaft! 2 Stroke! Blower on Nitro!
This was Jim Mangus, From Jim's Cylinder Heads. Buffalo, NY.
This was his try in the mid 1980's. Yes it ran!
And I lost a bet for a case of beer!
Jim was a Weird Scientist! He got his start working on Volkswagons, Then built a 2 stroke 250cc drag bike. It ran 7.0's in the 8th

Wow that is a trippy concept. I would guess that the single cam was for the intake side and the exhaust valve was left closed. Then an exhaust port was cut into the side of the cylinder?

That's right. From conversing with someone who helped work on the bike back in the day, also had crank changed to 90 deg. config. from standard 180 deg., custom ground intake cam was driven at crank speed, as was magneto ignition for four cylinder firings in 1 crank revolution.

Jim made "Hot Bike" magazine back in the day.
Racing down in Shrevport, La.
They had a paragraph or two about it in the race coverage.

Ah, that's an important detail. Somebody was thinking outside the box on that one.

I saw Jim run that thing at Maple Grove. It made a lot of racket and exhaust smoke fogged the entire track in.
