J model ... 1 piece head gasket?

Does anyone know the part # for a 1 piece head gasket for a 1984 GPZ1100 ? 72 mm bore ( stock bore) if one is even available... ?

I have a used 2 piece gasket COMETIC # C8324
but the 2 inner bolt holes on each gasket don't fit around the APE (heavy duty) studs...
I think a 1 piece gasket would do the trick....

Those are aftermarket parts, supplied by all of the big bore kit makers, such as APE, Wiseco, MTC and so on. They all have their own part #s for them. This is one place you can go to get one.

I'm just thinking... with a 1 piece gasket... the stock rubber o-ring in the middle is not used?
possibly fill the o ring hole with hi temp rtv?

also, would any of you know the torque spec. for the smaller head bolts on each outter side of the head? ( they are maybe 10mm)?
looking at the manual.. I only saw the tq spec for the larger head studs/nuts.

those little bolts make me nervous.... they are pretty much the same size as cam cap bolts... :ohmy:

The 2 piece with the i'ring is actually a nicer deal on a stock bore motor. Just get your snips out and trim the gasket to fit our four studs in the center.
