KZ750 H2 Exhaust Headers 2 & 3 was created by Tommotbird
Can anyone tell me the difference between exhaust headers 2 & 3 as they look to be the same. They have different part numbers but are the interchangeable.
Thanks

I've often wondered about that. I believe there's a mark or number on them to indicate which one goes where. If I can find the time sometime this weekend, I'll check a couple of NOS pipes that I've got to see if I can determine if there's any difference. The pipes are the same as the ones on your bike.

Well, I just compared them & they look virtually identical. Each one is stamped w KHI E005.
One has the number 2 stamped into it; the other one is stamped w a 3.
My only guess from eyeballing them is that maybe the flanged tips are slightly angled... just a guess & not really sure.

If I needed a header pipe, I would go ahead & use a #2 in the #3 position (or vice versa). If need be, I'd find a way to seal the exhaust port if one new copper crush gasket didn't get the job done.

Just checked in my Clymer manual and it says "Do not mix up the No2 (left) and No3 (right) exhaust pipes. Each has an identifying number.
However they still look virtually the same to me. Maybe all will be revealed when I try to fit the system. (I have two brand new No3's.
