I think Jack has some info on the Wolf exhausts, he is from that area of Ontario and likely knows the guys responsible for making it.

Only B model fender I have is on the SR, it has a slight twist and rust pits in it.

Pipe came on the bike when I bought it.

What user name might Jack use here on KZR ? I wouldnt mind PM'n him to find out more info.

I bought a junk Wolf pipe on Ebay 2 years ago because I liked the shape of the headers - nice soft bends. Speaking of abortions... I cut it in front of the collector, the rest was junk. I grafted on a Kerker race can.

Wolf is supposed to be a good flowing pipe. I did not care for the canister much because apart from the rot on my example it also weighed a ton. With the size of the stock collector and midpipe I think it would have been a good high RPM pipe. Jack does know a bit about them.

OK, I'm here. Gary Wolf built and sold a ton of pipes in Canada and was known for being a good builder and a smart guy who spent a lot of time engineering his systems. Never cared for the cans either but what sweet header bends and welds.I have a ton of old Cycle Canada mags, I'll have a look for old tests etc. Google Gary Wolf Exhaust to see what he's up to these days.

Joe Carron was a good friend and fellow dragracer who worked for Gary and then went out on his own building pipes sold primarily around SW Ontario. He built my first sidewinder in 1985 and until I lowered my MKll again,I had one of his street pipes too. Good stuff, just a little less sophisticated than Wolf's but I did like his end can better. BTW, Mark's got it now.

Very cool, thanks for chimeing in Jack.

Being a small displacement bike, I think I'm going to try the Muzzy. I'd like to keep a bit of midrange and the big collector of the Wolf seems like it will be oriented for high RPM performance. Maybe after an 810 kit and a different set of cams and carbs the Wolf would be a better option ?
