How do you get those cam covers off?
Motorcycle year and model?
A posted message including information about bike year and model will likely elicit better responses.
It's easy to put information in your signature so it will automatically appear in posted messages.
When done, the signature showing information will appear in all posts, past and future.
And the information may be changed as often as desired.
Here's how to do it:

I tried shaking it. No go. The swamie is right 1980 KZ 1000 shaft. I am talking about the black half moon shaped plastic on the head. It is where my valve cover gasket leaked and I don't want to do it twice. My plan was to seal them with High temp gasket.
Here's what the plugs look like.

The existing plugs are likely glued in place and may be pulled out of their slots.
Clean the slots. And clean the plugs if new plugs aren't being fitted along with the new gasket. But it's better to use new plugs.
Whether new or used, smear a thin film of silicone around the plugs and immediately install them so the silicone will help seal against oil leakage around the plugs.
Just before installing the new gasket, add a thin film of silicone to the flat area of the plugs.
The cam cover and head mating surfaces should be perfectly clean and free of any stuck on residual old gasket material.
I install the gasket bone dry, and have zero leakage.
Good Fortune!
