NEED HELP Fixed starter now bike won't move was created by chrisd
i have a buddy that has a kid work on his bike in school a few years ago. anyways he fixed the starter ans now the bike wont move. i took the cover apart and looked at the clutches they don't seem wore at all. the back tire will turn over until you let the stand down. j/w if something wasnt put back together right or if the springs on the clutch are bad. thanks for your help.

Ahhhhh.....this needs a little more clarity to have any hope of figuring out what's up.
Bike?
What do you mean by wheel turns until you put the stand down?
Many kawasaki bikes have side stand switches that will kill the motor if you put the bike in gear with the side stand down.

if you put it in gear the wheel will turn but if it on the ground it wont like the clutches are slipping. before he worke on it it had no issues with the clutches

Agree 100% with you Jim.
Put some free play in the clutch adjustment.
Whatever is wrong has nothing to do with the starter motor.
Sounds to me like someone tried to adjust the clutch and FUBAR was the result
