It looks like your plane of highest velocity starts at the top of the port entrance, angling down to the short side radius? I have no idea what I'm looking at though :whistle:

I noticed the same as Adam, but high velocity area changes sides at the short turn. Is it a twisted wedge head?

Are the much lower velocities at the top of the short turn a result of the valve stem/guide boss blocking the airflow?

That's exactly correct.

The map shows you how quickly and to what extreme the flow pattern can change inside a port.
