The 82 KZ1000/ 1100 FSM I have says 12 FT LBs, but all the valve cover and the 4 bolts at the cam end plugs, are all about 100in lbs. So it is wrong on the Cam Caps from the original printing.
I suggest a left hand drill bit and reverse-able drill to get them out. Usually when then snap like that there not to stuck. If they don't come with a left hand bit then a small easy-out can be used. GL.
