82 750 twin power up grades

Im looking to up the horse power on my 82 750 twin. I am thinking about taking it to the drag strip next year. Any help would be great. Can you put bigger cams in it? If so where can I get them? I am thinking about puting a turbo on it. Where can I get 1 and what needs to be done to the motor? Any other tips or tricks would be great. Thanks all.

I have a header/can that puts maybe 5 - 10 more HP on my 750 twin in the peak power band at the expense of low end power. It is loud and blocks the oil drain plug so it was a pain to use but it definitely made it wind up faster. I got tired of the hassle and replaced it, so it's sitting in my garage now.

Going with a turbo will cost more than buying a bike that comes with the power you want. And it will also subject the engine to heat and stress it was never designed to handle.

Remember: if there was a cheap and easy way to bolt power on to a given bike, the manufacturers would be doing it.

Reduce the weight? High compression pistons? That's my goal for my kz750(4).

There was mention somewhere recently of some really lumpy cams for the 750 twin, not sure if they are still being made, though. Probably great for drag racing.
