1979 KZ1000 mk2 clutch was created by jhillier449
I need a new clutch assembly for my mk2.
Will other clutches will fit?
I don't have a parts manual yet hence the question.
Cheers

the clutch assemblies will interchange in all the 900's and 1000's right up to 1980 after that they changed engine and transmission design. from 1981 they ran the updated j model motor.

The direct swaps listed by Mother Kaw does not include the 'E' series...to confuse the issue, add in the 1981 KZ1000C4 as a direct swap.

McDroid's right, the shaft E Models have extra plates and if I remember correctly, 6 springs instead of the 5 found in Z/KZ chain drive clutches.
