Shifting only into first after chain came off. was created by Dan333
Hi,
I have a 78 kz650sr, I was stopped at a red light and went to make a left turn and the chain came off the back sprocket. I put a new chain and rear sprocket on and now it only wants to shift into first and neutral. I'm not sure how this happened, but when I was removing the engine sprocket to get the chain off, it spun when the bike was in first gear. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Thanks,
Dan

are u actualy moving when u try to shift to second?
or just stasionary? a kz900 will only shift to 2nd while moving.
what moved when u took the chain off?
it should not matter anyways.
