Remove Baffles Help?? KZ1000 was created by Allshookup
I have looked through my Clymer repair book and can find nothing on removing the stock baffles from my 1985 KZ1000 Police Bike.
The three set screws (or whatever they are) are very rusty and worn. Do I have to remove them to pull it out?
I have no idea what to do I have never done this, it is my first bike. The baffles sound like they are loose inside. I will either be replacing them or just removing them all together.
PLEASE help me...
Thanks in advance,

Well, this weekend I drilled out the set screws or whatever they were but, I still can't get the baffles out. The pipes are very rusty in the inside edge and I have been told that the baffles can get hot and fuse to the side walls in the pipe. I guess the next set is to put the tank back on and run it a while to get the pipes hot, maybe that would help loosen everything up a bit...
If anyone has successfully removed there baffles from a KZ1000 any ideas are welcomed.
