We did'nt get that system here in Canada either.
There are a lot of posts here on kzrider regarding that system. People say you can just run a tube from one side to the other - which is the cheap way to do it - and get rid of all that stuff running back to the carbs and airbox.
Or.... if you want to spend money get those block off plates. Or..........buy a UK or Canadian head.
and like chabce said - leave the reed valves alone.
Good luck.

PS Nice clean looking valve cover you got there.

hi gang

many thanks for all of your advice!..

if you think my head looks clean, i managed to find a bike that had only done 6,600 miles on the clock. i'd it imported to the uk. i bought the clocks too!..
the bike has been completely stripped and the frame, swing, tree, all other possible items have been triply rust proof, primed and powder coated. just had the gas tank treated in the same way. the inside has been lined with a frost lining kit too! the stock ape bars have been changed to 1979 sr bars, for a better all day ride. the rear shocks have been replaced with custom hagon, the front better oil. HEL s/s brake lines too! i found a seat guy who refurb the three seats in 'basketweave' and chrome piping!..
i've also fitted a stebel nautilus airhorn and created my own custome bracket from aluminium! it's so loud! keeps us all safe

i bought the bike for $580, the avatar photo. i've spent about $2175 to create my bike. the last piece i got last week. it's a little kawasaki belt buckle. i will upload a photo.

thanks again for your advice everyone!..

regards

angie
