hi riders!..

it's angie here from the uk.

my dad and i've completely restored a kz750 ltd h2 1981.

has any of you mechanics out there 'blanked off' your reed valves and removed the air valve system? i've done some surfing on the web and found certain companies like APE who sell 'blank off plates'.

q) has anyone ever made their own please?

q2) what is the best metal, aluminium or other?

many thanks for your advice and don't forget your 'bikers nod's on the road!..

You can tie the valves together with a piec of the hose from the emission while you order the block off plates.

I find a standard(early) cam cover and then just plug the tunnels that come from the combustion chambers. Looks better I think. Roy

hi

many thanks for your reply!

i knew about the pipes tie up. i'm looking to either make them or have my OEM ones modified.

another website advised this. using JB Weld and a small coin, glue into the inside of the covers!... this blocks off the hole and you've OEB outside, not fell off after 2.5 years they said! :-)

for the airbox blocking, use another small coin and some silicone glue (black), glue the coin on!..

best wishes

angie
