Hi , I just wanted to know how much to ask for my 1977 KZ1000 A1 exhaust system . I have a Vance and Hines system on the bike and will keep it that way . There is pitting on the forward side of the pipes from the front wheel and I don't have exhaust flanges for it . The chrome is in excellent shape .

Put the item on flea-bay, you can put a reserve price on it, but will attract less bids/buyers. Do a search to see what others have received for theirs, I like to start most items at a 1.00....and let it ride for 7-10 day's ..also check to see how the other ad's are worded..etc

IF the stock OEM exhaust is complete, including the baffles, and is in excellent shape, I have seen them go for US$400 to US$800 on eBay depending on patience and time of year (and if you have realistic shipping charges...unrealistic shipping charges are a deal killer). At some times of the year, they won't sell...eBay is a fickle place.

Well, with no shipping, you are limiting your audience...and it has been my experience that trying to ship from Canada can also be a deal-killer due to high shipping costs and longer transit times.

Try your local Craigs-listing (or what ever it's called up there) first...

E-bay, you never know for some of the buyers on that are insane... 30 year old 29mm smooth bore carbs... I saw two sets last year that both went for over $1K....

Seriously, are they freaking kidding.... Could have bought a brand new set of CR specials for considerably less then that.

Or the one guy I saw Yahoo, won the bid... Paid $200 for a Dyna S ignition (no coils)... I was like good for you, do you realize you could have bought that brand new for $120.... DOH!

You just never know....
