brazing pin holes in header?

Has anybody here closed up some pin holes in a header head pipe with some braze? how did that work out?

The pin holes appeared after sandblasting the header... I can braze in my garage... mig is a trip to my buddy's shop, which is some miles and gas $$

Just wondered about the material difference, expansion, etc. and it might look different under the high heat paint.

Any ideas or feedback? THX.

I used JBweld on a set of smallblock chevy headders and it worked fine. As for a motorcycle where you can see most of the exhaust it will be a patch no matter what you do.

Use the braze rod itll last forever if done right and you can blend it in with some sandpaper if it shows.Ive used braze rod on pipes about 12,786,234 times and never had a problem.
PS I HATE JB WELB = GARBAGE

I actually filled in a one inch dent about 3/16 deep with braze. It worked out beautiful. If you want to fill a hole I would make sure that you open it up enough to remove any thin metal and than braze it closed.
