82 KZ 750 Clutch hub nut was created by drmadd95
The starter clutch is out on my 82 KZ 750 motor and in the process of taking out the secondary shaft to repair/replace the starter clutch. I apparently don't have the right size socket for the clutch hub nut and was hoping someone here could chime in and let me know what size socket I need to get?

Thanks.

the nut is 32mm if i remember but it is soo tight you need either an air ratchet or do as i did ,drill the nut thru on one side & split it ,use a new one.if you try to wedge the clutch or use the clutch holding tools you just end up rounding it off or slipping off & hurting yourself.its bloody tight & awkwadly positioned to get leverage with the engine insitu.
i wish you luck changing the starter clutch is easy compared to getting the damm cluch off.also replace or at least check the primary chain sprocket damper rubbers.i skimpt on mine & it clatters on idle .

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I've pulled the motor out of the bike so I don't have to hassle with crawling on the floor and having the frame in the way.

The motor is going to be a replacement for my 650 engine once I get done fixing it up.

Well I got it off. Turns out it was a 30mm nut. I don't see any damper rubbers in the case for the primary chain though....
