I have a 8o ltd1000,and my tach drive is leaking. Is there another seal besides the oring on the outside?because Ive replaced it and it still leaks. Not to mention blowing oil all over the front of my motor.I tried to look at a diagram on kawasaki.com.But I guess it doesnt go back that far.Does anyone have a diagram?Any help would be appreciated.

Not totally sur you have the same tach drive as is on the 73/78 900/1000's but if you do, there is a small oil seal inside the tach drive casing through which the spindle passes.

The fun part is getting the tach drive out of there isnt it? Theres the tach drive seal, an o-ring and washer for the cable. Shouldnt be leaking after that. If thats what you replaced and still have oil down the front of your engine then clean the area off well so you can locate where its coming from

On BikeBandit, I believe you want parts 12, 14 & 15.
I bought a kit with all 3 parts on eBay for my KZ750E, it worked like a charm.
