Plastic rings under cans

Hey guys, long time no post, I am putting my '76 kz900 back together. As I was about to spray gasket remover on the bottom of my jugs to clean it up I noticed some black rings around the cans. Not wanting to damage them I tried to remove them and they fell apart. I cant find mention of them in the manual nor do I see them on Z1. Dom I need them? Can I fill the channels with sealer or something? I will try to post pics.

Those are o-rings. They're still showing as "active" from Kawasaki, so they should be available. I'm guessing if you call Z1E, they can get them for you.
Remember, just because you can't find it on their website doesn't mean they don't have it, or can't get it.
