How do you know it's off a 81 750E and not a 81 750H?
If you looked at Zedder keep in mind that the engine range is for all models of 81 750.
I think more LTD's than Standards were sold in 81, so the odds favor it being a KZ750H.
Same motor anyway, so it don't make any difference

ok now heres my thoughts
i have an 83 kz750 L3 with the above motor in it with bs34 mikuni's with stock jetting for the L3, and to my understanding the above motor should have keihin's on it
now does any of this make a diferance as to how the motor would run

It's my understanding that the L3 is basically a 1982 GPz750, so it would indeed have Mikuni BS34 carbs stock. GPz750 and the L had Mikuni BS34's, all the other 750's had Keihin carbs.

KZ750L3 - KZ750R1 - KZ700A1 all had Mikuni BS34 carbs...all others apparently had Keihin carbs.
