Hi,

Just want to know if wrapping the exhaust headers will upset the carburetor adjustment (running leaner ??) since they will be running hotter than before?

I'm trying to move the most of the heat away from my engine since i'm afraid of my stock oil cooler is to close from the aftermarket hindle 4 into 1 exhaust.

Abnormal heat (110F) here and traffic don't mix well.

regards,
laurent

With the pipe wrap you're jetting will be fine.

The wrap will start to look pretty dirty after a season or so.

From what I read it generally ruins the exhaust pipes in short order. Jetting effect should be small. Hot gas is lighter so it theoretically makes the exhaust flow better.
