Back in the day, the logic on classic Detroit dinosaurs was, "advance it till you get some knock, then back off a few degrees".
I just stick with what Kaw started with, assuming they did a little more research on the subject than me. :laugh:
But I don't know what to say for any custom engine builds. probably need a knock sensor and some dyno equipment to get it just right.
