New rider, Oil changes?

I recently bought my first bike, a 1981 KZ 750H, and am wanting to do an oi change, i bought 4 litres of 10w 40 motor oil and a new filter, my question is where is the old filter located on engine? I took a quick look but do not want to unbolt things when im not 100% shure, your help is appreciated...

Welcome to the site. you can get lots of info in the archives. Look on the bottom of the motor for a round cover just a little bigger than the filter with a bolt in the center of it. If it has aftermarket exhaust you may have to remove it.

there should be an oil drain plug under bike,the oil filter should be off to one side from it big bolt looks like drain plug but will be holding a big round disc with fins your oil filter is on top of it.;)
