KZ1100 A2 valve cover bolt leak was created by danyboy
Hi everybody, newbie here.
Oil is leaking from valve cover and valve cover bolt (under the bolt). I changed a valve cover gasket on my car before but never on my bike. I have been reading some topics and seems I need some tools for shims ???
Will I also have to change the cam plugs as well ?

First off welcome Danyboy...

Shim/shim tools are for measuring your valve clearances & swap shims if required... Not required for a new cover gasket only... Same time, while in the top end, check your clearances...;)

As for the cam end caps... Most of the OEM are rubber end caps, if hard, cracked, dried out probably not a bad idea to change but again not required....

Excellent source for KZ parts @ Z1 Ent and APE...

And most definitely... get yourself a manual, preferably OEM shop manual....
