Weird engine/frame combo was created by Lazyman06
unless they swapped the engine I have a '79 MKII frame and a '80 KZ1000-C3 Police engine. I ran the frame number one Z1enterprises.com and the engine number on zedder.com and that's what I came up with. Is this common?
1979 KZ1000 MK II frame
1980 KZ1000 C3 police engine

They who?
On a 30 year old motorcycle, I would not be at all surprised to find a non-original engine, or any other part for that mater.

they being the people that had the bike b4 me. was hoping it was all original oh well can't get everything.

Oh yes they are In the recognition manual, there is a range of which frames should go with which range of engines. Since those # are not provided for us it would be hard to help. Also, having said that, police bikes were not placed into the recognition manuals until AFTER 1985.
