So I'm still working on this KZ440. I think ive got the carbs workin right, but now ive got a problem with the starter. The original starter and solenoid went bad at the same time. I replaced the solenoid with a brand new one from ebay, and bought a parts bike and took the starter off of it and installed it. Now, when i hit the starter button, the starter sticks and continues to turn over even after I turn off the starter switch and the ignition. Also It makes a weird grinding, clacking noise. The weird part is that when the starter is turning over, and the starter chain is disconnected, it does not stick and does not make the weird noise.
Im assuming that the starter clutch is going bad, but I wanted to see if anybody on here knew any more about it than i do.
